Maybe use a lower ISO-Speed. The higher the ISO-Speed is, the more noise you get, though your sensor of the camera is more sensitive to light. ISO 200 or 400 should have been fine in this shot. But looking at your gallery, you might already know this.
I usually shoot sunsets with a wide open aperture and fast shutter speed (mainly because I have no tripod yet and it is kinda hard to keep a steady hand with longer exposure) and ISO is usually set on 100-400. Try that on your next shot.
It's a very beautiful scene. And nicely done with the trees and plants in the foreground.
wow, thanks for the advice! I also have no tripod so it took me a few shots to get this one... I did try lower ISO but they all got motion blur. I will try what you suggest next time!
this scene is on the way to my summer house so I see it all the time... it looks a 100x more beautiful about half an hour earlier than when I took this shot and 1000x better live.
